Paul Ruth, REALTOR®, RE/MAX Dallas Suburbs
About

Seventeen years, 539 closings, one phone number.

Paul Ruth has been a licensed Texas real estate agent since March 2009, and he works out of RE/MAX Dallas Suburbs in Plano. Over those years he has closed 539 transactions and $250 million in sales — listing homes, representing buyers and leasing — across Collin, Denton, Dallas and Tarrant counties.

He describes his passion as his family, his dog, his friends and his real estate business, in that order. He enjoys the young couple buying a first home, and he says it can be just as rewarding to help somebody out of a tough spot when they feel they have no one to turn to.

For sellers he calls himself a very aggressive listing agent. For buyers, he says the job is to give clients the best information so they can make the best decision for themselves — and that he would rather you not buy a house at all than buy the wrong one.

RE/MAX has recognized him through most of that time: the Executive Club, the 100% Club and the Platinum Club; the RE/MAX Hall of Fame in 2016 and its Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019; and, as a team, the Chairman's Club and the Titan Club, which the Paul Ruth Team won four years running from 2019 to 2022. He holds the CDPE designation.

Meet Paul
Why Paul

What his clients say he is for.

  • Always available

It is the thing his reviews say most. "Always available." "Would come at a moment's notice to show me a house." Buyers and sellers say it again and again, in their own words.

  • Straight about the house

He points out the drawbacks as well as the strengths. His own line to buyers: he would rather you not buy at all than buy the wrong house.

  • Recognized by RE/MAX

RE/MAX Hall of Fame in 2016 and its Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019, and the Titan Club with his team four years running, 2019 to 2022.

  • For the tough spots too

Selling a parent's house, a two-year search, a sale that fell through three times. His reviews are full of hard situations, and of clients who came back to him afterwards.

For sellers

An aggressive listing agent, in your corner.

That is how Paul describes himself, and most of the homes on his record are ones he listed. Pricing against what has actually closed near you, professional photography, the RE/MAX network behind the listing, and creative marketing when the rates are working against you — one of his sellers says exactly that.

For buyers

Honest about every house you see.

First-time buyers make up a lot of his reviews, and they say the same thing: he walked them through every step and told them the truth about each house, drawbacks included. New construction, relocation and acreage are all on his RE/MAX profile as specialties.

How buying works
Frequently asked

The questions that come first.

What areas do you cover?

All of Dallas–Fort Worth. Most of Paul's sales are in Dallas and the northern suburbs — Plano, Allen, Frisco, The Colony, Lavon and Denton — with Fort Worth, the lakes and acreage in the mix too.

Why is there no sale price on your sold homes?

Texas is a non-disclosure state: sale prices are not public record. Paul sees what homes actually closed at through the MLS, and will walk you through the ones near you.

Do you work with first-time buyers?

All the time — a lot of his reviews are from first-time buyers. He explains every step, from the option period to the closing table, and tells you honestly what is wrong with a house as well as what is right.

How do you market a listing?

Priced against what has actually closed, professional photography, the MLS and the RE/MAX network — and when the market is slow, creative marketing to get it in front of the right buyer.

Can you help with a rental?

Yes. Paul has worked as a leasing agent alongside buying and selling since 2009. Tell him what you are looking for, or what you have to lease.

How do I find out what my home is worth?

Ask for a valuation. It is built from what has actually closed near you, not from an online estimate, and there is nothing attached to it.

Why Paul

My passion is my family — that includes my dog — my friends, and my real estate business. It is rewarding to watch a young couple get the keys to their first home. It can be just as rewarding to help somebody out of a tough spot, when they feel like they have no one to turn to. I put my clients' interests above everybody else's.

I would rather you not buy a house at all than buy the wrong one.
